Washington, Dec 18 (Prensa Latina) The beginning of house construction in the United States grew 3.2 percent last November at a seasonally adjusted rate of 1.256 million units, the Commerce Department reported today.

According to the official report, this increase was positively influenced by the increase in multifamily housing.

On the other hand, the individual structures, which represent two thirds of the market, decreased to a minimum in the last year and a half, which could affect the economy.

Meanwhile, building permits rose five percent in the penultimate month of 2018, at a rate of 1.288 million units, the source added.

News reports pointed out that specialists in the subject expected a decline in the beginnings of house construction.
